We are currently seeking a part-time Duty Manager working approximately 16 hours per week, averaged over a 4-week period.
As a Duty Manager you’ll work well both independently and as part of a small team, supporting the Manager in the day-to-day running of the cinema while helping provide our patrons with the very best cinema experience.
In addition to serving customers with tickets and refreshments, duties include (but are not limited to) operating digital projection equipment (training provided), administration and cash management, addressing and resolving customer queries, supervising a small team and helping maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment throughout the working day.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a responsible attitude along with excellent customer service skills and the ability to remain calm and make sensible decisions under pressure. Good IT skills are essential, along with confidence in learning and troubleshooting a variety of technologies.
Previous cinema, theatre or supervisory experience would be advantageous, but is not necessarily essential for the right candidate.
We are looking for someone who can work both evenings and weekends. Flexibility is essential in order to help cover staff holidays and additional daytime screenings during school holiday periods.
If you have a passion for independent cinema, excellent customer service skills, and would like to join the team at one of the UK’s oldest continuously operating cinemas, we’d love to hear from you.
To apply, please bring your CV along with a cover letter and availability statement to the Box Office, or email [email protected]
